Boron nitride break ring, hot-pressed composite machinable ceramics and its tailored composites are the ideal combination of properties required for horizontal continuous casting metal alloys.Break ring is the connecting material between tundish (tank) and crystallizer in horizontal continuous casting. Its main function is to control the solidification process of molten steel, forming the interface between steel "billet" and steel "water".
DMCERAM® Break Rings can be machined into different shapes as customer's drawing.
