Aluminum nitride has a wurtzite structure and belongs to the hexagonal system. It is an excellent electronic ceramic material. Chemical composition AI65.81%,N34.19%. Its volume density ≥3.28 g/cm3, bending strength > 310 Mpa. Aluminum nitride sheet has high thermal conductivity (5-10 times as the alumina ceramic), high volume resistance 1.5x1013 Ω·cm and low dielectric loss 4.6x10-4. The hardness of AlN ceramic is higher than that of alumina ceramic. Aluminum nitride ceramics can be machined into complex shapes.
